Creator Guide

Use AI to research, write, and produce full podcast episodes — from idea to finished audio — without recording a single word.

How It Works

1. Concept — describe your episode idea, topic, or paste source material
2. Research — AI gathers context and background information
3. Outline — a structured outline is generated for your review
4. Beats — narrative beats fill in the story arc and talking points
5. Script — a full script is written, which you can edit or regenerate section by section
6. Audio — AI text-to-speech renders the script with your chosen host voice
7. Export — publish to Vox Facta or download the finished episode

Choose from multiple host presets with different voices and presentation styles. Approve each stage before advancing, and regenerate individual script chunks until you're happy.

AI Hours by Tier

Every creator gets free AI generation hours each month, based on your growth tier:

Go live with audio or video directly from the Creator Studio. Streams are powered by Cloudflare Stream with sub-second latency.

Stream Options

• Browser streaming — go live instantly from your browser using WHIP protocol
• RTMP streaming — connect OBS or any streaming software with your persistent stream key
• Audio-only or video — choose the format that fits your content
• Access levels — stream for everyone (free) or subscribers only (paid)
• Scheduling — announce upcoming streams or go live immediately

Live Features

• Real-time chat with your audience
• Receive Verba tips during the stream
• Live reactions (fire, headphones, idea, heart, clap)
• Chat moderation — kick, mute, ban, slow mode, subscriber-only chat
• Save streams as VOD episodes for on-demand playback
• Viewer count and stream analytics

Upload audio or video episodes directly from the Creator Studio. Supported formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, and OGG. Each episode needs:

• Title — clear, searchable, compelling
• Description — Markdown supported, include show notes and links
• Cover image — 1:1 ratio recommended (min 400×400px)
• Series — organize episodes into series for better discovery
• Access level — Free (everyone) or gated behind a subscription tier
• Episode type — full, trailer, or bonus

You can also create audio clips (5–90 seconds) extracted from episodes — perfect for teasers and social sharing.

All uploaded content is reviewed by our AI moderation system. Content that violates our guidelines will be flagged for review.

Vox Facta isn't just episodes — you have a full content toolkit:

• Series — group episodes into seasons or topic-based series with custom cover art and descriptions
• Audio Clips — short-form audio (5–90 sec) with likes, replies, and play counts
• Community Posts — text, polls, and images for your followers; attach episodes, clips, or series; gate behind subscription tiers
• Playlists — curate episodes into playlists; make them collaborative or public
• RSS Feeds — every series gets an iTunes-compatible RSS feed, configurable from your studio (language, category, explicit flag, podcast type)

Set Up Stripe Connect

To receive payments, connect a Stripe account from your Creator Studio settings. This is a one-time setup — Stripe handles all payment processing, tax reporting, and compliance.

Revenue Streams

Creator Growth Tiers & Fees

There are no upfront platform fees. Instead, Vox Facta takes a percentage of subscription revenue that decreases as you grow. Tiers are earned automatically based on your monthly recurring revenue (MRR) from listener subscriptions:

Stripe also charges standard processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). Verba tips are not subject to platform fees.

Payouts

• Payouts are processed automatically through Stripe Connect
• Standard payout schedule is rolling (typically 2-day rolling for US)
• View your earnings breakdown (tips, subscriptions, ads) in the studio revenue dashboard
• You are responsible for reporting income to tax authorities

The Creator Studio gives you comprehensive analytics to understand your audience and grow your show:

Episode Performance

• Per-episode metrics — listens, likes, comments, tips
• Daily play counts over a 90-day window
• Traffic sources — where your listeners come from (feed, search, share, embed, direct)
• Retention curves — see exactly where listeners drop off in each episode
• Top 50 episodes ranked by listens

Audience Insights

• Country and device breakdown (mobile, desktop, tablet, smart speaker)
• Listening time distribution by hour of day
• Unique and returning listener counts
• Average listen time and completion rate

Revenue Dashboard

• Monthly breakdown over the last 12 months
• Tip revenue, subscription revenue, and ad revenue — all in one view
• Recent tips list and fee rate by tier

Optimize Your Profile

• Use a clear, recognizable avatar
• Write a compelling bio that tells listeners what you're about
• Add a banner image that represents your brand
• Pin your best or most introductory episode

Create Consistently

• Regular uploads keep you in followers' feeds
• Post community updates between episodes
• Use series to organize content and encourage binge-listening
• Create audio clips from your best moments to attract new listeners

Engage Your Community

• Respond to comments on your episodes
• Post polls and questions in your community tab
• Go live regularly to build real-time rapport with your audience
• Follow back and engage with other creators

Leverage the Platform

• Episodes in trending genres get boosted in the Pulse feed
• High engagement (reactions, comments, reposts) improves discoverability
• Full-text search indexes your title, tags, description, and transcript — make them count
• Share your RSS feed link to reach listeners on other podcast apps
• Collaborate with other creators to cross-pollinate audiences

Your content is yours. From the Creator Studio, you can export all your data as a ZIP archive containing:

• Episode metadata and audio URLs
• Series information
• Follower list
• Aggregated analytics (play counts, engagement, source breakdown)

Every series also has its own iTunes-compatible RSS feed, so your listeners can follow you anywhere.

As you grow, you'll unlock milestone badges displayed on your profile:

Bronze Mic— 100 followers

Silver Mic— 1,000 followers

Gold Mic— 10,000 followers
